What FastECU does

Direct K-Line and CAN communication, real map editing, and recovery for bricked units - across 17 ECU and 7 TCU platforms.

Reading, writing, and flashing

FastECU reads, test-writes, and writes ROMs directly over K-Line or CAN, depending on what the target ECU/TCU supports. Test-write lets you verify a write will succeed before committing it for real.

Bench unbricking

A unit bricked by a bad flash can be recovered on the bench via BDM or bootmode methods, without needing the ECU installed in the car.

Calibration editing

Maps are edited as 1D, 2D, or 3D grids with heatmap-colored cells, using the same RomRaider and EcuFlash XML definition formats the wider Subaru tuning community already uses - existing definitions and tune files carry over.

Live datalogging

Stream live data from the ECU/TCU while driving, for verifying a tune does what it's supposed to under real conditions rather than just on paper.

NextGen: what's new

Built from scratch in React/TypeScript rather than a straight port of the original - so some things are new or improved (editing more than one ROM file at once, a real OS clipboard for copy/paste, better definition-source management, application logging, cross-platform support including macOS), while ECU communication is being rebuilt protocol by protocol and some capabilities are still catching up to the original.
